- On average, every 2 minutes a person takes as many photos as there were in the 19th century. This is a real wonder of technology!

- The first color photograph appeared in 1861. It was made by the English physicist James Maxwell.

- The first flashes for photographs could maim a person. To make flash, an explosive mixture of potassium chloride and aluminum was set on fire. If the photographer made a mistake in the proportions of the mixture, then there were huge explosions.
