Why we celebrate Tell the Truth Day?
Being honest with people means being free with yourself. But sometimes it may be hard to be honest with others. People lie for personal gain, not to offend people or just for fun. An average person lies a few times a day. If you think this has nothing to deal with you, just remember when you lied by omission last time. Surprised? Just like you, others may not be entirely honest with you. But by telling lies, you can’t get closer to a person. It doesn’t allow to understand each other better. But you should know the right ways to tell the truth. Especially the unpleasant one. That’s why people invented Tell the Truth Day. On this day, telling the truth becomes easier, because it is the holiday that is partly responsible for the consequences.
What Do People Do?
On this day, many secrets are revealed. People learn incredible news. Therefore, the holiday is not only useful, but interesting as well. Friends ask each other funny and tricky questions. Close ones remind of importance of being honest. Parents explain to children how significant the truth is. And some people play the “True or False” game.
Tell the Truth Day is a good opportunity to show your true self. Don’t be afraid to be yourself. Allow others to do the same. On this day, on July 7, people are getting closer or vice versa, drifting apart. It’s quite a natural thing. Everyone has their personal values and the sooner you understand whether you agree with them, the better it will be.
How to Celebrate Tell the Truth Day?
On this day, do your best to be honest with people around you. Perhaps your world will change after it. To stay brave, we recommend watching a movie “Liar, Liar” or a cartoon “Pinocchio” related to this topic. Tell the Truth Day is not a public holiday. It is celebrated in many countries. In Belarus, there was even a public organization “Tell the Truth”.
