For the Chinese, for example, it is simply the fourth day of the month, as it is a homophone of the word meaning death. However, the Unlucky Day has its own generally accepted date – it always occurs at the very end of the year, which as if completes all previous unlucky days.

Despite the name, the holiday is not about recalling all the bad things and regretting what we have done. No one should be obsessed with the past on this day. Everyone should embrace what came before, because even negative events still have a place in our lives. On the Unlucky Day, many people choose to gather with family or friends, ironically congratulating each other on the upcoming holiday. Some during this holiday try to forgive themselves or others for their actions.

This day is celebrated annually on December 31 in many countries. This date was not chosen by accident, because exactly on the Unlucky Day you can finally say goodbye to the old misfortunes.
