Self-love Day is an unofficial holiday created so that everyone can try to fully accept themselves for at least one day. We are often unhappy with our appearance or character and are constantly trying to find new flaws in ourselves. Furthermore, we often worry about others, completely forgetting to take care of our own condition. This holiday urges us to forget about all our imperfections for a while and just enjoy life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The idea of self-love has been around since ancient times. Whoever promoted it to the masses. It’s been beatniks, hippies and celebrities alike. That’s not to say it helped many people accept themselves, but the ice was broken and some started to feel better about their own bodies. Self-Love Day was first announced aloud by Christina Arlo, who was a public speaker.
